Security
Practical security decisions — designed for real-world use.
Encrypted tunnel
PlainVPN uses modern VPN tunneling with strong encryption to protect data in transit between your device and the VPN server.
Kill switch & leak protection
The apps are built to reduce the risk of accidental exposure (for example, if the connection drops). Where supported, kill switch and leak protection features help keep traffic from escaping outside the tunnel.
Private DNS
DNS requests can reveal a lot. We aim to keep DNS handling consistent with a privacy-first approach.
Security checklist
- • Encrypted tunnel
- • Leak protection (where supported)
- • Kill switch behavior
- • Hardened server access
- • Support via ticket threads
